And, you know, getting an S on a track in Excitebike is sort of like beating a fighter in Punch-Out!!. Both are more enjoyable than their classic counterparts. they took exactly what was so good about the originals, shined everything up best they could to modern standards, and left the core essence of what defined the NES classics alone. but I do believe that both Monster Games and Next Level Games accomplished the same thing with the gameplay. and its minimalistic presentation and simple artstyle might deflate some of the hype that we saw with Punch-Out!!. Now, obviously this is a low budget game without all the glitz and glamor of the latter.
